The SP15 has a square stable base incorporating inbuilt 240v illumination system that gives optimum illumination instantly. Above the field lens is a focussing Abbe condenser with iris diaphragm that allows full lighting control. The stage has a removable specimen driver with separate X & Y movement controls with double vernier scale that allows the position of items of interest in any specimen to be recorded. The coarse and fine focus controls are low position and coaxial and there is a focus safety stop that can be set as required.
